“Lonely Planet’s best value travel destinations for 2014”–it includes Mexico!
Top Travel Blog
Lonely Planet has one of the most visited best informed travel blogs… well one of the best on the planet, I guess. They consistently do a perfect job of straying from the common commoditized locations that people tend to flock to. And they often publish top 5 or top 10 lists which are info filled. Lately they featured Mexico on a travel list and they just published another featuring our south of the border neighbors. This pumps me up because our whole business is built on the reality that Mexico is loaded with fascinating places that are easy and economical to experience.
Mexico in the Best Value List
So when LP came out with the “Lonely Planet’s best value travel destinations for 2014” this morning there was Mexico along with some other wonderful world spots. It was so right on that they actually gave examples of places that are not beach spots and which actually have local charm.
Why We Chose Our Mexico Destinations
Right now we offer small group experiences in Copper Canyon and Chihuahua, Oaxaca, Veracruz, Puebla and Michoacán for the butterflies–oh yes and also Mexico City itself- sometimes to be taken in on the way in and out of these other locations. We chose these because our “Tribe” (thank you Seth Godin) asks about them. They are also on our radar because they are rich in culture, local in their offerings of food, lodging, etc., and because we have been able to find truly good local guides in each place.
More locations will follow–there is so much in this vast land!
