Agua Azul Chiapas

The lovely Agua Azul along our Chiapas route…on the way to Palenque.

Mexico travelers always include Chiapas for many reasons. There are unique and delicious foods on every corner. There are the best of ancient ruins. There is a vast array of local ethnic culture. There are lovely waterfalls for relaxing. Rain forests and jungles full of wildlife, flowers, and fruits are nearby for excellent hiking. Memorable moments at places like Agua Azul (above) make Chiapas a favorite…and we g often- call for details.

Here are options for our Chiapas trips:

  • Starting ending points can be reversed—both ends have good airports
  • Indigenous areas around Naha as well as the frontier areas can be included
  • Birdwatching, cooking and food, or photography can be a focus of your trip
  • Coffee plantations are an option and require some long travel times
  • Your trip can be fully customized to fit your schedule and interests

Fine print: We don’t like or even have much fine print. But you need to know that our itineraries are never guaranteed. Sounds crazy but it is actually the secret to the excellent edge our trips have. Here is how it works: Usually they change a bit on the trip and as the group agrees, they turn out better than originally planned. Hotels listed are not certain to be the ones for your trip. Sometimes we change to equivalent hotels for various reasons. Also while our trips are not rigorous, sleep on the ground tours, there is walking and activity involved—so walk for a few miles every day the month before your trip. Most importantly, no whiners… so bring your sense of humor and have fun!
